ABOUT ME

Kasey Meyer, M.A., LPC

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor located in Round Rock, Texas. My specialties include Cognitive Behavior Therapy, solution-focused talk therapy, and LGBTQIA+ mental health. I am a graduate of Boston College where I earned a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling. My background includes a year-long practicum at McLean Hospital and eight years in the behavioral health field. I approach therapy in a warm, empathetic, and integrative way.

WHAT HAPPENS IN A SESSION?

When I first meet with a client, I focus on getting to know them, clarifying goals, and setting the foundation for our work together. We may engage in traditional "talk therapy"which includes processing, reflection, and feedback about thoughts, feelings, emotions, or memories. I may also assign "homework" or suggest tools when helpful. When appropriate, I may suggest a solution-focused approach that centers on solving current problems and meeting concrete goals. I encourage everyone to use therapy to meet their unique needs and do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. My goal is to provide an inviting, non-judgmental space for growth and healing.
